Are you looking for the perfect fall wedding venue to snuggle up with your soul mate? Franklin Commons is the place for you!
Jamie and Eran chose Franklin Commons for their October nuptials. We had plenty of backup indoor locations in case the weather turned, but the rain held off and the couple were able to say “I Do” in our beautiful Courtyard. We lit up the beautiful kite mural on our brick wall, which added a whimsical touch to the ceremony space.
As guests made their way to cocktail hour, they were handed glasses of champagne to enjoy with their hors d’oeuvres. Drexelbrook Catering had fun with their appetizer menu, setting up two fun interactive stations for guests to enjoy. At “A Taste Of The West”, chefs dished up servings of Blackened White Fish with Napa Cabbage, Red, & Green Onions, garnished with Fresh Cilantro and rolled inside a Soft Taco Shell. The “Pad Thai” station was a huge hit, where Rice Noodles were wok-seared to order and mixed with Oriental Vegetables, Water Chestnuts, Scallions, and optional Chopped Peanuts, tossed with Seared Boneless Chicken and served in cute Chinese take-out boxes with chopsticks.
There were also plenty of passed hors d’oeuvres, including Cucumber Cups with Sweet Chili Edamame & Roasted Peppers, Buttermilk Chicken n’ Waffles with Dijon Maple Syrup Drizzle, Bay Scallops wrapped in Pepper Bacon, and Cheese Steak Spring Rolls with Spicy Ketchup & Chipotle BBQ.
After cocktail hour, we led guests into Franklin Hall for dinner and the reception. The space was filled with fall-themed décor, lanterns filled with candles lighting everyone’s tables, and pumpkins scattered throughout the room.
For the main course, guests were served a choice between Sliced Tenderloin of Beef and Crabcakes. For those who simply could not choose, Drexelbrook offered a special duet platter with smaller portions of each dish. Everyone’s palettes were definitely satisfied after that delectable meal!
After plenty of dancing, everyone had worked up an appetite again…just in time for the Sweet Endings station to open up. Chefs served freshly made, hot & steamy Belgian Waffles topped with Cinnamon Ice Cream Whipped Cream, & Hot Fudge. Servers carried around platters of warm cookies, petit fours, chocolate-dipped pretzels, and truffles. Of course, there was a delicious wedding cake to cut into, which had been prepared by our talented friends at The Master’s Baker.
