Allison and Jonathan were looking for the perfect garden wedding venue for their big day. One look at Franklin Commons, and they knew they had found it!

Our impeccably landscaped Courtyard provided the ideal backdrop for their outdoor ceremony. The guests enjoyed the perfect September weather as the couple said “I Do” beneath our vivid green tree line, surrounded by summer blooms and soothing water features.

Once the ceremony was over, cocktail hour was only a short walk away. Adjacent to the Courtyard, our Campus Walk was filled with the delicious smells of passed and stationed Hors d’Oeuvres being prepared by the talented chefs at Drexelbrook Catering.

Guests filled their plates with heaping helpings of food from the Mashed Potato Bar and Chicken Pad Thai Station, while a wait staff carried platters filled with even more mouthwatering options. Some of the crowd favorites included Panko Crusted Chicken Tenderloins, Bay Scallops wrapped in Pepper Bacon, and Cheese Steak Spring Rolls with Spicy Ketchup and Chipotle BBQ.

When cocktail hour ended, guests followed the newlyweds into Franklin Hall. The breezeways were thrown open, letting the fresh summer air from our Courtyard waft throughout the reception hall, adding to the ambiance created by the floral-themed décor.

As everyone took their seats, they enjoyed a Butter Lettuce Salad with Roasted Pears, Aged Cheddar, Candied Walnuts, and Citrus Vinaigrette, as family and friends gave speeches honoring the bride and groom. For the Main Course, guests could choose from three options: Brandywine Chicken with Rosemary, Garlic, Lemon, & Dijon Mustard topped with Wild Mushrooms, Beef Short Rib with Caramelized Onion & Dijon Gravy, or Grilled Vegetable Napoleon served over a Fresh Marinara Sauce.

With their bellies full, everyone took to the dance floor, where DJ Chris from Schaffer Sound was playing plenty of music to keep the guests on their feet for hours! It was the perfect way to work up an appetite for dessert, especially since Allison and Jonathan had chosen a very special Sweet Ending Station

In addition to the stunning wedding cake, baked by Brooklyn Girl Bakery, Drexelbrook had set up a Boardwalk Waffles & Ice Cream Station, where hot and steamy Belgian Waffles were topped with scoops of Cinnamon Ice Cream, Whipped Cream, and Hot Fudge. Plus, guests were sent home with their choice of butlered mini treats to savor on their way home. What a perfect ending to an equally perfect summer wedding.
