Having A Ball At Isaac’s Soccer Themed Bar Mitzvah

We’re not sure who had more fun at Isaac’s soccer themed bar mitzvah: Isaac and his friends or the parents!

Isaac chose Franklin Commons to host his big celebration. From the moment guests entered our Bistro, they were treated like royalty. Adults were given glasses of champagne, while kids helped themselves to Isaac’s specialty “cocktail,” which had a creative soccer-themed name.

Isaac’s specialty drink was called “The Penalty Kick,” and was the perfect mixture of Sprite and grenadine. Everyone loved it!

Our Bistro was lined with delicious hors d’oeuvres for grown-ups and kids alike. A Mediterranean Tapas Bar was covered with Red Pepper Hummus, Whitefish Salad, Lox, Baba Ganoush, Pickles, Stuffed Olives, Chicken Liver Pate, Falafel with Tzatziki, Roasted Peppers, and Grilled Vegetables, which guests piled high atop slices of Pita and Rye Breads. At our Meatball Slider Station, our staff served Meatballs with warm Fontina Cheese and house-made Potato Chips.

Kids munched on an interactive Nachos Grande Station and sampled hors d’oeuvres like Chicken Quesadillas, Mozzarella Sticks with Zesty Marinara, and Pizza Squares.

After cocktail hours, the adults had the opportunity to sit down in Franklin Hall to a plated dinner of Organic California Field Greens with Sun Dried Cherries & White Balsamic Vinaigrette, and Apricot Chicken topped with Cider Ju.

Isaac’s friends enjoyed free reign of the dance floor, where a DJ kept them entertained with games and upbeat music. When they worked up an appetite, they helped themselves to a buffet of Mixed Field Greens with Seasonal Berry Vinaigrette, Honey Glazed Carrots, Green Beans Almandine, Penne Pasta with Tomato Basil, Chicken Parmesan, Tortilla Chip Crusted White Fish “Sticks” with a Chipotle Tartar Sauce, and Beef Sliders with Pickles, Ketchup, & BBQ Sauce.

To cap the night off, guests gathered around a Chocolate Fountain, where they could dip pieces of Fruit, Berries, Marshmallows, Pretzel Rods, Cream Puffs, Pound Cake Squares, Brownie Bites, Oreos, and Rice Krispie Treats. There were also plenty of desserts including Strawberry Shortcake, S’mores, and Key Lime Pie. Those with a sweet tooth were not disappointed!

Congratulations on this very important milestone in your life, Isaac, and thanks for celebrating it with us at Franklin Commons!
