A Look Inside Meghan & Tim’s Magical Summer Wedding

Wedding season is off to an incredible magical summer wedding receptionstart! We can see why Meghan and Tim picked May to tie the knot. The weather is warm, flowers are in full bloom, and summer love is in the air.

After the beautiful couple exchanged their vows at a church in Norristown, everyone headed over to Franklin Commons for a magical summer wedding that would fulfill any couples’ dreams.

Our Campus Walk was filled with the sound of soft background chatter during cocktail hour as guests were served trays of delicious hors d’oeuvres. Light bites included “Phillips Farm” Three Mushroom Tart with Goat Cheese and Leeks, Cucumber Cup with Sweet Chili Edamame & Roasted Peppers, and Grilled Bruschetta with Seasonal Toppings and Balsamic Drizzle.

Courtesy of Drexelbrook Catering, there were lots of options for everyone! Pasta Primo and Smoky Pulled Pork Sliders with Southern BBQ Sauce were crowd favorites. Seafood lovers had their eyes on the Coconut Shrimp with a Mango Horseradish Puree and Bay Scallops wrapped in Pepper Bacon. We saw plates pile up with Cheese Steak Spring Rolls with Spicy Ketchup & Chipotle BBQ plus other delectable meat and poultry nibbles.

There were plenty of dishes to choose from before the first course was even served! After cocktail hour, guests were led into Franklin Hall, which was decorated in whimsical twinkly lights and golden details – from the chairs to the plates.

The magic didn’t stop there! The bride and groom shared their first dance under the soft lights, followed by toasts from their beloved friends and family.

Before the parents’ dance, we served a light and scrumptious first course: Baby Field Greens with Dried Cranberries, Crumbled Goat Cheese, and Seasonal Vinaigrette.

This was followed up with choices of entrees fit for kings and queens. Options included Tuscan Chicken Pan-Seared with Shallots, Garlic and Rosemary, Atlantic Salmon Baked and Stuffed with Crab Imperial and infused with Lemon and Garlic Butter, or Grilled Center Cut Filet Mignon cooked Medium with a Brandy Demi-Glace. Eggplant Involtini filled with Sauteed Spinach, Ricotta Cheese and Diced Seasonal Vegetables was the perfect option for vegetarians.

After a good amount of dancing and socializing, the sugar cravings kicked in. Everyone marveled at the beautiful cake, provided by our friends at The Master’s Baker. We set up a Signature Sundae Bar, which (as you can guess) was a huge hit! Guests helped themselves to Hand-Spun Vanilla and Chocolate Ice Creams with topping like Strawberry Sauces, Candy Toppings, Whipped Cream, Cherries and more.

Our staff made sure nobody went home empty-handed. Guests were served options of Warm Cookies, Chocolate Mousse Parfaits, S’mores, Chocolate Dipped Pretzels, Tiramisu, Petit Fours, and Decadent Truffles to take home – a truly sweet ending to the evening!

Congratulations to Meghan and Tim! The Franklin Commons team loved dreaming up this whimsical Summer wedding.
