Prom season is officially over, but we’re still reeling after the amazing parties!
Owen J. Roberts High School hosted their prom at Franklin Commons on May 21st, and it was definitely a night for the books. With more than 600 students in attendance, there was an abundance of laughter, fun, and dancing all night long.
A photo booth snapped memories to cherish for a lifetime, while the DJ kept students on the dance floor for practically the whole night. The only time they left was to enjoy the awesome food!
Three buffets were set up throughout Franklin Hall, which included Grilled Sirloin Steak marinated in Island Spices; Southern Chicken with Stuffed Cornbread & Southern Pepper Gravy; Black Bean, Kale, & Vegan Pepper Jack Cheese Quesadillas with Brown Rice and Pico De Gallo; and Mac & Cheese.
The students quickly danced off their full stomachs after dinner, and rushed over to our dessert stands. The chefs at Drexelbrook Catering did not disappoint! Guests were greeted by a Signature Sundae Bar loaded with Vanilla & Chocolate Ice Cream, Water Ice, Hot Fudge, Whipped Cream, Sprinkles, Cherries, and Candied Toppings. They had the option of enjoying their sundaes served on top of Brownie Squares to add an extra bit of chocolatey goodness to their desserts.
Once desserts were devoured, it was back to the dance floor! To wet their whistle, the students were treated to a Signature Drink named after the mascot of their alma mater: the Wild Cat Spritzer. This sumptuous spin on a Shirley Temple had students rushing back for more all night long.
All in all, we’d say that the night was a huge success! The students went home happy and FULL after an amazing night of dancing and delicious food!
