Here’s proof that kids and adults can have a blast at a bar mitzvah if you focus on all the right details!
Ben and his family celebrated his bar mitzvah at Franklin Commons with a large group of guests both young and old.
The festivities began in the Art Gallery, where the space was split into two sections. The kids’ section contained awesome food stations laden with teen favorites, like the Nachos Grande station, which offered savory toppings like cheese, guacamole, & salsa. There was also a Chicken Tenders station, a Pizza station, and the all-time favorite Pigs-In-A-Blanket station!
The younger crowd enjoyed games orchestrated by the DJ, who was sure to keep the group entertained and energized throughout the night.
Meanwhile, adults sampled our Sushi and Pasta stations while a piano player serenaded them. They enjoyed being able to mingle and take in the artwork that flanked the walls of the Gallery.
Once cocktail hour was over, both groups were ushered into Franklin Hall, where the entire space was adorned in beautiful uplighting and royal blue accents. Each table was topped with a centerpiece containing pictures of Ben in various Tae Kwon Do poses, and the kids were surprised to find royal blue drawstring bags filled with water bottles sitting at their seats.
Introductions were quite entertaining, as Ben’s parents tried their hardest to embarrass their son. The party was once again split up so that the kids could enjoy their own area while the adults socialized. On the kids’ side was a custom “Teen Bar”, serving sodas and flavored juices. It was definitely a popular place to hang out at!
Once introductions were finished, it was time for the real feast. At the kids’ buffet, the Franklin Commons staff served up Pasta, Burgers, and Chicken Tenders. The adults enjoyed Filet Mignon and Chicken in Lemon Sauce.
The meal was capped off with cake and a Root Beer & Coke Float station. With their stomachs full, the guests hit the dance floor for a night of fun, games, and great music.
