Amanda and Blake are a beautiful couple with an equally beautiful DIY wedding. With Amanda being an art teacher and Blake adding his own personal touches to the ceremony, creativity shined throughout the day.
The ceremony trellis was made the day before by Blake and his soon-to-be father-in-law. They worked together to fashion large tree branches into a gorgeous frame, under which the bride and groom exchanged their vows.
Amanda used watercolor paints for her seating cards and adorned each table with handmade table numbers, which were constructed out of wood, rocks, and wire. The centerpieces were made from the same large wildflowers that were in the bride’s bouquet.
Guests enjoyed butlered hors d’oeuvres during Cocktail Hour, which included Sea Scallops wrapped in Pepper Bacon, Miniature Beef Wellington with Horseradish Cream, and many more scrumptious options. They also sampled from two interactive stations: a cheese display and a Pasta Bar.
The Main Course consisted of Mixed Field Green Salad with Candied Walnuts & Raspberry Vinaigrette, Panko & Parmesan-Crusted Chicken topped with Sautéed Spinach, Mushrooms & Onions served over Orzo Pasta & drizzled with Tomato Basil Sauce, and Pan-Seared Atlantic Salmon with Mustard Maple Glaze accompanied by a variety of vegetables. For the vegetarians, the chef whipped up some delicious Asian Vegetable Dumplings with Sweet Chili Sauce on a Soba Noodle Bed.
With their stomachs full of delicious food, the guests made their way to the dance floor, where they danced the night away to the live band and enjoyed cake and a Coffee Bar. What a beautiful way to end a beautiful night!
