Morgan and Andrew chose Franklin Commons as their fairy-tale wedding location in the summer of 2023 and had a lovely outdoor ceremony in the Courtyard and reception inside Franklin Hall.
Morgan shared some highlights of their big day and a little bit about their love story:
“Andrew and I first met back in 2012/2013 through my best friend becoming friends with him after high school. We stayed just friends for quite a few years over college and after. When I moved back home after graduation, Andrew tried to make his move.. Which he had to do multiple times. We went on a few ‘first’ dates before I realized that I should give him a real shot, and I am so glad that I did!!
A couple of years later, Andrew surprised me by proposing at our favorite park in West Chester while everything was covered in snow. It was so special and magical.
Franklin Commons was only the second wedding venue that we had toured and it was during one of their open houses. As soon as we entered, we knew it was the one. We were obsessed with how unique and beautiful the industrial feel of the venue was. We hadn’t wanted a standard ballroom vibe at all and Franklin Commons is definitely not standard. Kim and Hannah were SO nice, helpful and friendly from that first day meeting and throughout the entire wedding planning process. We ended up basically picking our wedding date with them before we even left the open house.
We loved the versatility in spaces – the outdoor courtyard for ceremonies, the cocktail hour stations, the huge windows in the reception space, and the different options for a rain plan. Of course, the food from Drexelbrook Catering was another amazing perk – all of our guests loved their food and catering was so accommodating for people with many food allergies. Every one of our guests was obsessed with everything about the venue from the looks, the food, and the service. Even the other vendors that Franklin Commons partners with and recommends are amazing. We would recommend everyone we worked with a million times over.
Overall, we are soo grateful and thankful to everyone at Franklin Commons for making our wedding day so special! It was truly the best day, and we know that everyone at FC played a huge role in that.”
