Juliana and Ben’s Dazzling Summer Wedding

Summer weddings are some of our favorites. The weather is perfect for gathering outdoors, there are gorgeous seasonal flowers to choose from and it’s an easier time for family and friends to attend. It’s no wonder summer is the most popular season for weddings!

When Juliana and Ben picked the date for tying the knot, they knew they wanted an elegant wedding reception to match the beautiful weather. Our team had them covered!

The bride and groom made their way to Franklin Commons for their wedding reception on a sunny July afternoon and were greeted by rustic decor with white and maroon accents. Everyone was seated in our courtyard to watch the beautiful couple exchange vows and rings under the wedding arch.

Once the ceremony commenced, it was time to celebrate! Courtesy of Drexelbrook Catering, known for their culinary masterpieces and expansive wedding menu, there was a selection of dishes to satisfy everyone’s cravings. Cocktail hour was off to an incredible start!

The Mashed Potato Bar proved to be popular as guests helped themselves to servings of Creamy Home-made Mashed Potatoes with an array of topping choices like Scallions, Sour Cream, Smoky Bacon and Caramelized Onions.

Our butlers served trays of “Phillips Farm” Three Mushroom Tart with Goat Cheese and Leeks, Bay Scallops wrapped in Pepper Bacon, Quesadillas with Zesty Margaritas Creme, Vanilla Salt Miniature Beef Wellingtons with Horseradish Cream, and more. Whether you were a seafood lover, vegetarian or enjoyed your steaks medium-rare, there was something for everyone!

When cocktail hour came to a close, guests were led to our famous Franklin Hall. There, they found tables adorned in elegant white linens and candles with gold plating for a pop of color. Twinkly lights hung from the ceiling, adding to the magical atmosphere.

The bustle of cocktail hour quieted down as the bride and groom shared their first dance. Heartwarming toasts filled the room with laughter and tears of joy, and everyone had worked up an appetite again. Luckily, they were in for a treat from Drexelbrook Catering’s award-winning chefs.

For the first course, guests munched on Baby Field Greens with Dried Cranberries, Crumbled Goat Cheese, and Seasonal Vinaigrette. As always, bottomless Warm Rolls with Butter were passed around. Once plates cleared, entrees were brought out. Options included Chicken Picatta, a Roasted Boneless Breast with Lemon, Capers, Parsley and White Wine or Slow Roasted Prime Rib of Beef with Horseradish Cream & Natural Jus, both served with Roasted Fingerling Potatoes & Seasonal Vegetables.

The vegetarian entree was a hit too! Plates were filled with Asian Vegetable Dumplings with Sweet Chili Sauce, Soba Noodle Bed, Black Bean, Roasted Corn, Tomato and Caramelized Onions.

After a round of dancing and socializing, it was time to bring out the cake. The beautiful white and maroon cake provided by our friends from Brooklyn Girl Bakery caught everyone’s attention. It was almost too beautiful to eat!

We also set up the Sweet Endings Station, making sure there was no lack of options at Juliana and Ben’s wedding. Guests helped themselves to Boardwalk Waffles & Ice Cream, which included Hot & Steamy Waffles, Cinnamon Ice Cream, Whipped Cream and Hot Fudge.

A huge congratulations to Juliana and Ben as they begin their journey together as newlyweds. The Franklin Commons team had a blast dreaming up their perfect summer wedding!
