No need to travel across the country to experience Fabulous Las Vegas. Franklin Commons brought the fun to Phoenixville for the TCHS Pickering prom!
With casino-themed decorations, twinkling lights everywhere, and a roulette wheel set up in the photo booth, attendees felt as if they had stepped out of their rides and right onto the Vegas Strip. They even found stacks of “cash” (chocolate bars wrapped in paper printed with dollar bill designs) waiting for them at their tables.
Franklin Commons was the perfectly unique prom venue that TCHS was looking for. Our stunning Courtyard was the perfect place to snap photographs. The sky-high ceilings, wall-to-wall windows, and custom-sized dance floor accommodated students and their guests comfortably. Even the Bistro was put to good use, set up with casino games for the kids to play when they needed a break from the festivities!
The décor was overshadowed only by the food. After the students and their guests feasted on the Seasonal Fruit “Martini” set at each seat, the buffet lines were opened.
Scoops of Mac & Cheese and Gluten-Free Asian Beef Stir Fry were heaped onto plates, next to servings of Memphis Chicken grilled and topped with Diced Tomatoes, Pepper Jack Cheese, & Tennessee Sauce. The kids helped themselves to servings of Seasonal Vegetables and Creamy Mashed Potatoes, and of course there were plenty of Warm Rolls with Butter to go around.
After dinner, everyone immediately moved on to dessert. They needed the sugar rush in order to dance the rest of the night!
Drexelbrook Catering had everything the students and their guests could possibly dream of at their Signature Sundae Bar. Giant scoops of Vanilla & Chocolate Ice Cream were topped with Whipped Cream, Hot Fudge, Cherries, and plenty of Candy Toppings. There was also Water Ice and Chocolate Chip Cookies to snack on.
With their bellies full, the guests moved on to the dance floor, where Jason Remaly from Silver Sounds Disc Jockeys was playing all of the most popular hits and favorite dance songs.
The kids didn’t go home empty handed! Each guest took home a delicious cake pop made by TCHS teachers and students.
The TCHS students and their guests had a wonderful time at their Vegas-themed prom. We can’t wait to surprise next year’s students with yet another exciting event!
